Although we are not required to report under the Act due to our size and revenue, we are committed to operating ethically and transparently and voluntarily publish this statement in support of responsible business practices.
1. Our Structure, Operations and Supply Chains
Practice People Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned recruitment business with offices in Perth, Western Australia and Brisbane, Queensland.

2. Modern Slavery Risks in Our Operations and Supply Chains
Given our size and business model, the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations is considered low. All internal employees are employed in Australia under Australian workplace laws and standards.
However, we recognise potential risks may arise in:
a) Candidate Placement
As a recruitment business, we may place candidates into industries where modern slavery risks are inherently higher albeit within the legal sector we consider the risk low
There is also a risk that labour hire arrangements, subcontracting, or complex client supply chains could expose workers to exploitation if not properly monitored.
b) Supply Chain Procurement
Risks may exist within:
• Overseas manufacturing of IT equipment
• Cleaning and facilities services
• Office supply manufacturing
3. Actions Taken to Assess and Address Risks
During the reporting period, we have taken the following steps:
Recruitment & Candidate Protection
• Conduct right-to-work checks for placed candidates
• Verify employer credentials before engagement
• Ensure written employment agreements are in place where applicable
• Encourage candidates to report workplace concerns confidentially
• Avoid recruitment fees charged to workers
Client Due Diligence
• Engage primarily with reputable Australian businesses
• Include compliance with Australian workplace laws as a condition of engagement
• Reserve the right to cease working with clients who breach employment standards
Supplier Controls
• Source goods and services from reputable Australian suppliers where possible
• Preference established vendors with transparent ethical standards
• Maintain limited and simple supply chains to reduce risk exposure
Internal Governance
• All staff are aware of modern slavery risks relevant to recruitment
• Our Managing Director maintains oversight of ethical compliance
• Complaints or concerns can be escalated directly to our Managing Director
4. Assessing Effectiveness
Given the scale of our business, effectiveness is monitored through:
• Ongoing Managing Director oversight
• Annual review of suppliers
• Feedback from candidates and clients
• Monitoring of workplace complaints or irregularities
We will continue to review and improve our approach as our business grows.
5. Consultation
As a standalone entity with no subsidiaries, no formal consultation process with owned entities is required.
