About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to join a busy Workplace Relations team in a full?time, permanent role based in the Perth CBD. Reporting to a senior leader, you’ll provide high?quality advice on employment and industrial relations matters, help clients navigate complex workplace issues, and mentor junior lawyers within the team.
This role suits someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, working autonomously, and contributing to a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a wide range of employment and industrial relations matters
- Managing complex workplace issues and delivering practical, commercial solutions
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development activities, including presentations and networking
- Coaching and mentoring junior lawyers
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the organisation
- Working towards financial and performance targets
About You
You’re an experienced employment lawyer who thrives on problem?solving and supporting businesses with clear, practical advice. You work well independently, enjoy collaborating with others, and bring strong commercial awareness.
You will ideally bring:
- A law degree and a minimum of 5+ years’ post?admission experience
- Solid knowledge of employment law and industrial relations, including:
- representation in courts and tribunals
- workplace investigations
- compliance advice (e.g., Fair Work legislation)
- Experience preparing and interpreting employment documentation
- Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory requirements accurately
- Previous experience supervising or reviewing work of junior lawyers
- Strong communication and relationship?building skills
- A current practising certificate
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
- A valid driver’s licence
