About the Opportunity
A well?established and growing commercial law practice, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial practitioner with 5+ years’ post?admission experience who wants high?quality work, direct client engagement, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a progressive and collaborative firm environment.
The Role
You will work across a broad mix of commercial matters for private clients, SMEs, family enterprises and agribusinesses. The work is diverse, hands?on and offers genuine autonomy.
Key areas of work include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts (services, supply, distribution, consultancy, SaaS, agency and more)
- Providing advice on contractual risk, liability, indemnities, warranties and termination clauses
- Corporate structuring, governance and compliance matters
- Shareholder agreements, joint ventures, partnership arrangements and constitutions
- Business sales and acquisitions (mid?market), including due diligence and transactional documentation
- Competition, consumer and regulatory advice
- Supporting commercial dispute resolution and risk management (with escalation to litigation teams as needed)
- Executive employment and contractor agreements from a commercial perspective
- General counsel?style advisory work for business owners, boards and leadership teams
You’ll work closely with senior leaders in the practice and play an active role in mentoring junior lawyers while contributing to the ongoing growth of the team.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ PAE in general commercial law
- Demonstrated ability to run complex matters with autonomy
- Strong drafting, technical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and relationship?building skills
