An established boutique commercial firm is seeking a talented Lawyer or Senior Associate to join its expanding Energy & Resources practice. The Role
You will support senior lawyers across a broad spectrum of matters in the energy and resources sector, including:
- Drafting and negotiating key commercial and project agreements
- Advising on regulatory issues and compliance requirements
- Participating in negotiations with project stakeholders
- Providing end?to?end support on major project development and operational matters
Work will involve exposure to:
- Renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery, thermal)
- Carbon capture and storage initiatives
- Wholesale and retail electricity market transactions (NEM, WEM, NWIS)
- Gas sales and transportation (wholesale & retail)
- Onshore & offshore oil and gas projects, including M&A, JV arrangements, procurement and infrastructure development
- Pipeline and gas transportation services
- Climate change, decarbonisation and energy transition matters
- Broader commercial advisory work related to energy and resources

Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified lawyer with 3+ years PAE
- Have experience in energy, resources, projects, construction, or broader commercial law
- Possess strong drafting skills and excellent written communication
- Demonstrate an ability to build rapport with clients and thrive in a boutique environment
- Be proactive, commercially minded, and eager to continue learning
