An international law firm is seeking a skilled Document Review Manager to join its Perth office on a full-time, permanent basis. This role sits within a specialist team responsible for the strategic planning and execution of document review projects, particularly within the disputes space. The team plays a key role in identifying risks and opportunities throughout the review lifecycle and contributes to the development of broader legal delivery models. 

Role Overview 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Document Review, this position involves hands-on support in scoping reviews, resource and cost modelling, and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency across review projects. The successful candidates will also engage with senior leadership and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. 

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Model costs and resources based on review scope and project requirements
  • Define deliverables and manage risks, including scope creep
  • Develop and document review methodologies, ensuring quality assurance and optimal use of technology
  • Monitor and enhance the delivery model for dispute-related document reviews
  • Build strong relationships with eDiscovery and advanced legal delivery teams
  • Stay current with industry trends through training, demos and events
  • Support cross-jurisdictional service development and relationship building
  • Analyse data to inform and improve operating models
  • Drive continuous improvement in review processes
  • Deliver training sessions both in-person and virtually

Candidate Profile
  • Qualified solicitor or experienced legal professional with a background in disputes and document review
  • Proven experience managing document review projects, with advance proficiency in Relativity
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint for data presentation
  • Familiarity with workflow design tools such as Visio
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement sills
  • Process-oriented with a track record of implementing improvements
  • Detail-focused and highly organized, with strong time management
  • Experience with legal tech tools and a keen interest in AI
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across offices to support training and collaboration
