This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with 2-4 years' PQE to join a rapidly growing Brisbane Construction practice group in a back-end litigation role.
Working directly with knowledgeable partners who are focused on assisting you in developing your skills and providing you mentoring during the early stages of your career.
You will be exposed to a broad range of contentious litigation matters relating to commercial building and development, infrastructure, engineering, residential building and insolvency. You will work in a supportive and friendly environment and learn from an experienced team of lawyers eager to assist you in your continued growth. In this role, you will:
- progress a litigation matter from start to finish under supportive supervision;
- draft correspondence, pleadings, submissions, affidavits and other court documents;
- be keen to appear at hearings including directions hearings, winding up and creditors petitions and various interlocutory applications;
- prepare detailed and comprehensive advice and evidence; and
- brief and work with counsel on defended litigation.
Our construction litigation team has a very strong pipeline of work, and you will be working with blue-chip and government clients.
You will have supported autonomy and will be given the opportunity to progress your own files with supervision from the partner. A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate based on skills and experience.
